We had three best bets during Week 8 of the NFL betting season and all were small road favorites. Two of them already came around with ease (Detroit 45-10 at Denver as a three point chalk and Cincinnati 34-12 at Seattle as one point chalk) and the third one should be cashed by midnight on Monday Night Football.

San Diego comes off a loss at the Jets and gets a game it can easily here against a division foe. The Chargers opened as 3.5-point chalk and the number has stayed around -3 all week. One shop is daring you to pick the Chiefs by offering +3.5 as of Monday afternoon. [ Full Chargers vs Chiefs matchup report ]

The Chiefs come off an impressive 28-0 win over Oakland last week and barely lost to San Diego in Week (20-17) as huge 14-point road dogs. Has enough changed to make KC a legitimate threat to cover the spread here in Week 8?

Well, they have lost 7 of 8 to the Chargers, but at home, they have been moneymakers against their AFC West foes. In 14 home games, the Chiefs are 9-4-1 ATS past 14 vs the Chargers. KC has also been tough as a small underdog, going 7-1 ATS past 8 as a pup of 4 points or less.

And while there is no discernible trend on the total (which sat at 44.5 midday Monday) in these meetings, San Diego has been a reliable OVER bet recently on the road (OVER is 8-1-1 past 10 SD road games).

As always, Monday Night props are a big part of the NFL odds menu with dozens of fantasy football style lines for your amusement (and profit potential).
