Dolphins Vs. Cowboys: Tony Romo Tosses Pair Of Interceptions, Dolphins Lead 3-0

Tony Romo threw a pair of first-quarter interceptions, as the Miami Dolphins jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the first quarter of the Thanksgiving Day game. Romo's interceptions came on just six passes.

Coming into this game, Romo has been one of the best quarterbacks for much of this season, tossing 19 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. He’s been even better in recent weeks, entering Thursday’s game having not thrown an interception in 126 passes. His last interception had come Oct. 30, going three straight games without an interception and tossing eight touchdowns in the meantime.

Romo threw his first interception on his fourth pass. The second of those was the more costly, as he was picked off on the Cowboys’ 14-yard line. The Dolphins eventually turned that into a 3-0 lead.

The first quarter has been almost entirely about Romo's performance. The Cowboys have managed to move the ball reasonably well, piling up about 60 yards. Romo had thrown for 32 yards and running back DeMarco Murray had run for 33 on nine carries. But Romo's interceptions short-circuited any chance the Cowboys had of putting points on the scoreboard.
