Dolphins Vs. Cowboys: Dallas Heads Into Halftime Leading 10-6 After Tony Romo TD Pass

Tony Romo wasted little time turning DeMarcus Ware's fumble recovery into the Dallas Cowboys's first lead of the game. They ultimately headed into halftime leading the Miami Dolphins 10-6 in the second game on Thanksgiving Day. Romo, who threw two interceptions in the first half, found Laurent Robinson in the back of the endzone on the first play after the fumble. It was Robinson's sixth touchdown of the season and the fifth straight week he's scored.

The Cowboys got the ball in such good field position after a bad snap eluded Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore. Ware was the first to get to ball.

Earlier in the quarter, Dan Bailey's 32-yard field goal got the Cowboys on the scoreboard and tied the game 3-3. The field goal capped off a 46-yard drive, which came on the heels of a missed field goal by the Dolphins. It was also Bailey's 25th consecutive field goal, a streak that stretches back to Week 2 when the rookie missed a 21-yarder against the San Francisco 49ers.

Shayne Graham missed a 47-yard field goal that would have given the Dolphins a 6-0 lead over the Cowboys. Moore had looked strong on the drive, which saw Miami move the ball 60 yards down to the Dallas 29-yard line. In fact, the Dolphins had gotten as deep as the Dallas 21, but a Victor Butler sack had moved the ball back.

As it turned out, that sack probably saved the Cowboys three points. Graham’s attempt was just barely wide. It was just the second field goal attempt by Graham in a Dolphins uniform this year, since being signed on Nov. 19. It snapped a streak of 25 consecutive made field goals, that stretched back to last season when he was on the Cowboys. Graham did earn some measure of redemption when he hit a 28-yard field goal at the end of the half.
