Here's a quick look (with an assist from ESPN Stats & Info) at just how incredible the Saints quarterback is right now.
• On Monday night, Drew Brees became the first player to collect 4 touchdown passes, 350+ passing yards and rushing touchdown on MNF. He also became the the ninth quarterback since 200 to have four passing TDs *and* a rushing TD in one game (Aaron Rodgers also did it this season).
• Brees has thrown a touchdown pass in 38 consecutive games, the second longest streak in NFL history, nine behind Johnny Unitas’ record of 47.
• Brees extended his own NFL record, completing 20+ passes in a 31st straight game.
• Brees has amassed 3,689 yards through his first 11 games this season. That's an NFL record through 11 games, breaking Tom Brady's old(-ish) mark of 3,627 from this season.
Add it all up. Drew Brees could be putting together one of the great quarterbacking seasons in NFL history.
Oh, and the man across from Brees on Monday Night -- Eli Manning -- set a record of his own. Manning completed a Giants franchise record 19 consecutive passes. Somehow, it just doesn't compare.
