According to Vic Lombardi of 102.3 FM in Denver, Denver Broncos first-round linebacker Von Miller underwent surgery on a thumb injury he sustained during the Broncos' 16-13 overtime win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
Von Miller Reportedly Had Surgery On Thumb
Denver Broncos rookie linebacker Von Miller reportedly underwent thumb surgery following Sunday’s overtime win over the San Diego Chargers.


The Broncos have not confirmed the report, which Lombardi has updated with word that Miller has ligament damage, but no fracture,and should be "good to go" for this week's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Broncos head coach John Fox is expected to provide an update on Miller's status during his weekly meeting with the local media later on Wednesday.
Selected with the second overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, Miller has made an immediate impact on the Broncos’ defense, ranking second on the team with 58 tackles and leading the club with 10.5 quarterback sacks, which leads the AFC. Miller also has 16 tackles for a loss, four passes defensed and three forced fumbles for a defense that has improved from 32nd in total defense in 2010 to 18th in Fox’s first year in Denver.
