Reports of Tennessee Titans' running back Chris Johnson's demise may have been greatly exaggerated. Johnson, along with Terrell Suggs, Drew Brees and others received week 12 Player of the Week nods. The NFL announced its full slate of week 12 winners today.
Chris Johnson, Terrell Suggs & Drew Brees Among Week 12 Players Of The Week
Titans running back Chris Johnson earned a week 12 Player of the Week Award for his 190-yard day against the Buccaneers. Johnson was joined by Drew Brees, Terrell Suggs and a couple of special teams record breakers among the week 12 winners.

Johnson earned the AFC Offensive Player of the Week nod for his 190-yard rushing performance against Tampa Bay in week 12. Two years removed from breaking the 2,000-yard mark for rushing and months away from a $55 million contract extension, this was just the third time this season that Johnson broke the 100-yard barrier in game. Tennessee hopes that it was a break out rather than an anomaly as they set their sights on upending Houston in the AFC South race.
Drew Brees picked up the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award for the 12th time in his career. Brees led the Saints to a Monday night win over the Giants thanks to four touchdown drives of 80 or more yards. He also had a rushing touchdown to become the first player in NFL history to complete 60 percent of his passes, throw four touchdowns with no interceptions and rush for another in a single game.
Terrell Suggs once again proved to be a one-man wrecking crew for the Ravens, picking up the AFC Defensive Player of the Week Award. His three sacks, once forced fumble and three more tackles helped Baltimore win a prime time Thanksgiving game against the 49ers. It was the fourth such award for Suggs, who now has nine sacks for the season.
Washington Redskins cornerback De Angelo Hall won the NFC Defensive Player of the Week Award for the second time in his career. Hall sealed a road win over the Seattle Seahawks with a last minute interception. He also had six passes defensed, a career-high, and five tackles.
Record-breaking special teams performances were the norm for this week's AFC and NFC Special Teams Players of the Week. Oakland kicker Sebastian Janikowski booted a franchise-best six field goals in a 25-20 win over the Chicago Bears. Five of his field goals were longer than 35 yards, tying an NFL record.
Arizona Cardinals rookie cornerback Patrick Peterson tied an NFL record with his fourth punt-return touchdown of the season. He took an 80-yard return to the house in a win over the Rams. It was the second time this season Peterson earned the award. His game-winning 99-yard punt-return against the Rams in week 9 earned him his first.
