The 49ers on the other hand have won five straight games no the back of a strong defense and the resurgence of quarterback Alex Smith’s career. New head coach John Harbaugh has turn Smith from a bust into an efficient quarterback that can run his offense and win ball games. Smith has throw 9 touchdowns passes to only two interceptions on the season. Smith’s stats aren’t anything to gawk at, but he’s managing the game to the point the 49ers can win.
