NFL Odds And Lines Week 13: Jets Vs. Redskins

The Redskins will host the Jets in a battle of quarterbacks who are hilariously prone to turnovers. It is not, hilarious, to those who put money on them.

The New York Jets will take on the Washington Redskins on the road in Week 13, both teams coming off wins in Week 12 and looking to build some confidence in their embattled quarterbacks. Only one of these teams has a legitimate chance at the playoffs, though, and our partners at Odds Shark have them as three-point favorites.

Fresh off a huge comeback win over the struggling Buffalo Bills, the Jets need every win they can get. Though it's wildly irresponsible to bet against Sexy Rex Grossman when he gets on one of his rolls, the Jets' defense has had its best games picking on weaker quarterbacks — like the 32-3 victory over the Jaguars earlier in the season that saw Luke McCown benched partway through.

On the other hand, it's never been fun for gamblers to put their money down on Mark Sanchez, and the Redskins defense has played admirably while their offense ground to a halt under the stewardship of John Beck. LaDanian Tomlinson may not return for the Jets, though Shonn Greene will again play through his bruised ribs, so the running game should be solid enough in support of Sanchez.
