After Jimmy Graham gave up a fumble that led to a Minnesota Vikings field goal, the New Orleans Saints set out to even the score. That is to say, they set out to take the lead - which they did, from the Minnesota 40 yard-line, when quarterback Drew Brees went deep over the middle to Robert Meachem for 40 yards and a touchdown. But it was called back, as the Saints were called for offensive holding. So instead, they backed up to midfield.

Naturally, the Saints weren't having any of that, so Brees began to hit his receivers all over the field for gains of 10 yards, 25 yards, and then 10 yards again to set up with a first and goal at the five yard line. Then he hit receiver Lance Moore over the middle for a five-yard gain and a touchdown. The 25-yard reception on the drive went to Pierre Thomas following the holding penalty.
