VIDEO: Aaron Rodgers Finds Donald Driver For The Lead And The Record Book

The Green Bay Packers grabbed a one-point lead over the Kansas City Chiefs in the third quarter. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit wide receiver Donald Driver on an end zone fade route on third down. Driver’s touchdown represents the first points Green Bay has put on the board in the game so far, but it was enough to give them a 7-6 lead over the Chiefs.

Check out the Rodgers touchdown pass to Driver in the video below.

That touchdown had some historical significance as well. It was Rodgers’ 40th touchdown pass of the season, surpassing Brett Favre for the franchise record.

Unlike so many other touchdowns, the 40th did not come easy for Rodgers. On the two plays before that he was nearly sacked as the Chiefs defense pinned down all of his targets in tight coverage. They nearly got to Rodgers to, but he scrambled his way out of a sack.

Earlier in the game, Kansas City opted to go for it on a fourth down at their own goal line rather than kick a field goal. Romeo Crennel and his team will hope that decision does not come back to haunt them.
