The back injury that Chicago Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox sustained against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday was terrifying to see. Happily, though, it seems that Knox will be just fine: the Chicago Tribune's Vaughn McClure reports that Knox is getting an MRI and could be hospitalized overnight, but also that "he's expected to be OK."
Johnny Knox Injury: Bears Wideout Getting MRI, Could Be Hospitalized Overnight
That news follows an earlier report from FOX Sports’ Jaime Maggio, who reported that Knox had a low back injury but was able to move all his extremities.
Knox’ status for future games is to be determined, but the simple fact that that can be one of the things fans can worry about with Knox is promising. Knox’ Bears may not have more than two more games in 2011, though: they fell to the Seahawks, 7-7, and lost a significant amount of ground in the NFC wild card chase.
