Damien Woody Confirms Jets Will Release Him Via Twitter
Woody just finished his third season with the Jets and his 12th overall. He is coming off of arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The Jets have inferred that they may be interested in re-signing Woody at a lower salary.

They’re all certainly plausible cuts, though it would be a surprise to see four biggish names released all at once. Still, when have Rex Ryan’s Jets been anything but surprising?
Woody and Jenkins have both had injury issues. Woody missed three games last year, while Jenkins has played only seven games in the past two seasons. Taylor, while still reasonably productive, will be 37 years old next year, and Gholston has yet to start more than three games in a season since being drafted No. 6 overall.
