A pair of top five picks are expected to cash it in on the field in 2011 as the NFL's rookies of the year. Bodog.com has compiled the latest odds and at the top of the running for offensive rookie of the year is Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (5/1) and for defensive rookie of the year is Arizona Cardinals CB Patrick Peterson (6/1).
Cam Newton, Patrick Peterson Favorites For Rookie Of Year And Other NFL Odds
WR A.J. Green was picked ahead of WR Julio Jones but the odds say it’s Jones who has a better shot at the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year award. On the defensive side, LB Von Miller and DT Nick Fairley are in second place behind Peterson.
Other odds-on favorites:
-Newton as the Panthers starter over QB Jimmy Clausen.
-QB Andy Dalton as the starter over QB Carson Palmer for the Cincinnati Bengals.
-QB Christian Ponder as the Minnesota Vikings starting QB.
-QB Jake Locker as the Tennessee Titans starting QB.
