One event that won't be wiped away due to the NFL lockout: Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Aug. 8. The day before, Aug. 7, the Rams and Bears are scheduled to play the first preseason game of the year but if the lockout wipes that out it won't have an effect on the Hall of Fame ceremony the next day in Canton, Ohio.
Pro Football Hall Of Fame Inductees Announce Presenters
Seven men are scheduled to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Hall recently announced the presenters for each candidate.
- Shannon Sharpe to be presented by his brother, Sterling
- Richard Dent to be presented by his college coach, Joe Gilliam
- Ed Sabol to be presented by his son, Steve
- Deion Sanders to be presented by his agent, Eugene Parker
- Marshall Faulk to be presented by his agent, Rocky Arcenaux
- Chris Hanburger to be presented by his son, Chris
- Les Richter to be presented (posthumously) by his son, Jon
Daniel Kaplan of SBJ notes that only twice before have agents been presenters.
