If you thought Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had forgotten about the draft day snafu with the Chicago Bears, think again.
Ravens’ John Harbaugh Still Not Happy With Bears Over Draft Day Trade Snafu
The Ravens head coach went on the Waddle and Silvy show in Chicago and was clearly still upset with the Bears for agreeing to trade the 29th overall pick and a fourth rounder for the Ravens 26th pick in order to ensure they were able to select OT Gabe Carimi ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs.
If you remember, the Bears never called the trade into the league office despite telling the Ravens they had. Ultimately it all worked out as both teams got the player they wanted. Chicago says it was a miscommunication but Harbaugh doesn’t care -- he’s still upset.
"That's not OK. It's not ethical, it's not right," he said. "I personally agree with our owner (Steve Bisciotti) that they should have been held accountable for it."
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did say the Bears should make it right but they never did.
I don’t think we’ll be seeing any draft day trades between the Bears and Ravens next year.
