Edwards reportedly received a three-year deal worth over $8 million so the Chiefs may have been interested in keeping him, but not at that price.
Edwards played nose tackle in the Chiefs 3-4 defense but he’s really better suited for a 4-3 defense, which the Panthers play. He should step in and see immediate playing time.
