DeAngelo Williams Gets Five-Year Deal From Panthers, According To Report

Like very deal reported this week, this won’t become official until Friday night when players are permitted to actually sign contracts.

Williams is clearly a major part of the Panthers offense. In 2008, he rushed for over 1,500 yards and lead the league in rushing touchdowns. The following year, he again eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark. His 2010 season ended early after suffering a foot injury as he recorded a career-low 361 rushing yards in just six games.
