Nick Barnett Lands In Buffalo After Packers Cut

The Buffalo Bills added a middle linebacker to their defense, which lost Paul Posluszny early on in free agency. Nick Barnett, formerly of the Green Bay Packers, sighed a three-year, $12 million deal to play in Buffalo, according to Adam Schefter.

Before signing, Barnett visited Buffalo’s locker room and got to watch a training camp practice from the sideline. Don’t underestimate the recruiting draw that is witnessing Chan Gailey in action.

Barnett was cut by the Packers earlier in the week after the team told him they would try to trade him first. In eight years in Green Bay, Barnett piled up 574 tackles. He was lucky with injuries over the first five years of his career, but has missed 19 games during the past three seasons. In 2007 he was named second-team All-Pro.

Just as he forecast his release via his Twitter account, he took to the E-streets on Sunday to challenge Bills fans on their stadium presence.
