Well, DeSean Jackson could have used a better choice of words.
DeSean Jackson’s Radio Interview Could Have Gone Better
The Philadelphia Eagles receiver was on the radio on June 30 -- the All Out Show with Rude Jude and Lord Sear -- and a caller, Troy from Tennessee, asked if Jackson "had his d--k knocked in the dirt" and something else we couldn't understand.
Jackson’s response likely won’t please those in the Philadelphia front office. Via Deadspin:
"What type of question is that? Say 'no homo', gay-ass. Faggot."
It amazes me every time we hear an athlete say something like this (actually, it really doesn’t considering it happens often enough). NFL players not only make money because of their abilities on the field, but they’re also valuable in the marketing world. And people who have a tendency to insult segments of the population aren’t as desirable.
Of course, there’s also the whole angle that this is a slur and, in my opinion, it makes whoever says it sound a lot dumber.
