VIDEO: Ndamukong Suh Almost Takes Andy Dalton’s Head Off
Poor Andy Dalton. The Cincinnati Bengals' rookie was handed the starting quarterback job when Carson Palmer retired, and trial by fire can be fierce. Evidence: the Bengals' 34-3 loss to the Detroit Lions on Friday night. More evidence: Ndamukong Suh is really scary.
Here’s Suh basically attempting to screw Dalton’s head off during the Lions’ victory. Suh was flagged for the play, because what he attempted to do was pretty dangerous and really should not happen.
Suh has a history of these kinds of plays in his brief career, having done the same to Jake Dellhome last season. It’s a pretty safe bet that he will be getting a call from the commissioner’s office, if he hasn’t already.
As for Dalton, this was merely one of the low moments in a pretty awful debut. He actually completed 11 passes, but all were checkdowns. His only deep pass of the game was intercepted. He was pressured all game. It’ll get better, but only because it probably can’t get much worse.
