Ty Warren Injury: Broncos’ DT To Have MRI On Tricep Tendon

Denver Broncos new defensive tackle, Ty Warren, will undergo an MRI after injuring his triceps tendon in Monday morning’s team practice.

Newly signed Denver Bronco defensive tackle Ty Warren is scheduled to undergo a MRI exam on his triceps tendon Monday night, according to reports from the Denver Post. Warren suffered an injury on the tendon during Monday morning's team practice.

As of this point the extent of 30-year-old’s injury is undetermined, though many within the organization reportedly fear that the damage could be significant. If that is the case, the Broncos will lose their biggest offseason acquisition from a defensive unit that ranked dead last in the NFL last season.

Warren signed with Denver on a two-year, $8 million contract -- that included a $2.5 million signing bonus -- after being released by the New England Patriots before the start of free agency. In eight seasons with the Patriots, Warren amassed 373 tackles, 20.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles while starting for two Super Bowl-winning teams (XXXVIII and XXXIX). He missed all of 2010 after suffering a hip injury during training camp.
