Packers Vs. Colts Score: Aaron Rodgers’ Fu Manchu Makes 3rd Quarter Watchable

The backups are starting to play. We’re all focused on Aaron Rodgers’ wonderful fu manchu. It must be the second half of a preseason game.

And, in this case, a three-point third quarter that has pretty much turned into a glorified practice. About the most notable thing in the quarter was the newfound trouble that the Colts had holding onto the ball. Curtis Painter fumbled it away in Indianapolis territory, setting up the 32-yard Mason Crosby field goal that produced the quarter's only points. Delone Carter, who looked fairly good otherwise, came very close to fumbling the ball away again on a carry later in the quarter.

Aside from that, it's time for the backups to get their reps and the coaches to determine who will remain when teams are required to pare rosters back to 80 early next week. Painter, in case you were wondering, finished 11-of-21 for 171 and two touchdowns. Matt Flynn (4-7, 32 yards) has looked okay in relief of Rodgers. Dan Orlovsky (2-6, 23 yards) has looked like Dan Orlovsky.
