Mikel Leshoure’s Injury Is ‘Huge Blow To Lions Offense’
I noted that losing Leshoure was a major blow to the Lions and SB Nation’s Pride of Detroit agrees calling it a “terrible” situation.
I’m not a Lions fan but they’re the type of team I was rooting for in 2011 because, after all they’ve been through the last two decades, it finally appeared they were turning the corner and making a legitimate run at the playoffs.

Unfortunately, I was wrong. Leshoure suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon, according to head coach Jim Schwartz, and he’s out for the season.
It’s a tough blow for the Lions, who planned to use Leshoure as a complement to the smaller RB Jahvid Best. The Lions traded up to draft Leshoure in the 2011 NFL draft so he’s already suffered a season ending injury in less than two weeks of training camp.
