The New York Giants travel to Washington to start the season in a divisional game at 4:15 p.m. ET on Sunday. Beyond the rivalry aspect of this match-up, it should be an emotional atmosphere as the two cities that were most impacted by the events of 9/11 are represented in the game.
Giants Vs. Redskins: Game Time, TV Schedule, Announcers And More
The Giants are seeking a return to the playoffs in 2011 after missing the postseason the last two seasons. New York fell short of the playoffs despite winning 10 games last season. They start their 2011 campaign without several keys players as 10 Giants have been placed on the injured reserve during the preseason.
For the Redskins, they turn to veteran Rex Grossman to lead a revamped team in 2011. Washington is younger across the board, and features a Clinton Portis-less backfield for the first time since 2003. It's year two for the Mike Shanahan Era, and there is a ton of work to do if the Skins are going to be a .500 team this seasons after winning just six games in 2010.
