NFL Scores Week 2: Steelers Bounce Back With 24-0 Victory Over Seahawks

Getty Images

The Pittsburgh Steelers opened the season in embarrassing fashion last week when the rival Baltimore Ravens trounced them 35-7. Unfortunately for the Seattle Seahawks, they felt the Steelers' wrath Sunday.

Mike Wallace caught eight passes for 126 yards and Ben Roethlisberger threw for 298 yards as the Steelers defeated the Seahawks 24-0.

Seven turnovers haunted Pittsburgh against Baltimore, but it did not commit any Sunday. Rashard Mendenhall ran for 66 yards and 19 carries with a touchdown in the first quarter that put the game away for good early. The Seahawks mustered no offense whatsoever and actually did not take a snap on the Steelers' side of the field until midway through the fourth quarter. Tavaris Jackson threw for 159 yards.

Next week, Pittsburgh heads to Indianapolis to face the Peyton Manning-less Colts, while Seattle will try to avoid a 0-3 start against the Arizona Cardinals.
