NFL Picks Week 4: Falcons Vs. Seahawks

The Atlanta Falcons are looking for a rebound after last week’s loss to Tampa Bay. The schedule gives them an NFC West opponent. Can Matt Ryan and his team take advantage?

The Atlanta Falcons lost a close one last week in Tampa Bay. Now, they travel to Seattle in what should be a nice chance to rebound with a road win. Seattle got a little help from the Twelfth Man and Sidney Rice last week, beating their NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals. Pete Carroll's team faces a much stiffer test this week.

Pete Prisco at CBS foresees a lopsided affair in favor of the Falcons.

The Falcons didn't look good last week at Tampa Bay and somehow found a way to almost steal the game. They have started slowly all year. That won't happen here. Atlanta is a step up for Seattle. I look for the Atlanta defense to force turnovers from Tarvaris Jackson that lead to points. Atlanta big.

The Sporting News expert, Vinnie Iyer, predicts a similar blowout, with Atlanta topping 40 points. Pete Schrager at Foxis not convinced that Atlanta has the right mix for a Super Bowl, citing the fact that Matt Ryan has been sacked 13 times already this season, the second-highest total of any quarterback. Still, he does see a Falcons win.
