Steve Spagnuolo To Interview With New Orleans Saints, According To Report

Despite reports that he was likely headed to the Philadelphia Eagles, Steve Spagnuolo has an interview set up with the New Orleans Saints, according to a report from NFL Network. Spagnuolo was fired on Black Monday as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams.

He’s been connected to a number of jobs, most notably the Eagles, but Spagnuolo is apparently still making his decision. The Saints lost defensive coordinator Gregg Williams to Jeff Fisher and the Rams earlier this week making the defensive coordinator position in New Orleans available.

Spagnuolo has an extensive history on the defensive side of the ball. Before becoming the Rams head coach in 2009, he was the New York Giants defensive coordinator for two seasons. And before that he was working under Jim Johnson on the Eagles defensive staff.

Check out SB Nation’s Canal Street Chronicles to see what Saints fans are saying about Spagnuolo potentially coming to New Orleans.
