Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin is heading to the Miami Dolphins as the head coach, according to multiple reports on Friday afternoon. And it didn't take long for the focus to shift from Philbin taking the job to who the next Dolphins quarterback will be. You see, there's a blatantly obvious answer here in the form of a free agent from Green Bay.
Joe Philbin To Miami Kickstarts Matt Flynn Rumors
Matt Flynn stands to make a decent chunk of change this offseason, and controls his own destiny as he navigates free agency. Remember that Week 17 matchup, in which Flynn, starting for the Packers as Aaron Rodgers rested, threw for 480 yards and six touchdowns? It left quite the impression, apparently.
Pretty much every NFL reporter has tweeted some variation of Flynn-to-Miami, so we’ll just go with John Clayton.
With Joe Philbin beating out Mike McCoy and Todd Bowles for the MIami job, you'd have to think the Dolphins would move for Matt Flynn at QB

It’s nothing official, of course, and free agency hasn’t even started, but one has to imagine the fit makes Miami an intriguing option for Flynn. There’s a familiarity there and the time to get acclimated would probably be almost negligible for Flynn, who would be in a position for success right away.
