With a 5,000 yard passer under center, the best wide receiver in football, a 10-6 record and a secondary that is finally getting healthy after a wave of injuries, there is no question that the Detroit Lions are a legitimate playoff team. After over a decade of suffering, this team is truly legit. They will be a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately for them, they got the short end of the stick when it comes to the draw. They have to go to the Superdome to face the New Orleans Saints, who have won eight straight.

Against the New York Giants or the San Fransisco 49ers, they would have been given a chance to win, but NFL experts are not optimistic about their chances of defeating the Saints. Sports Illustrated's Peter King has the Saints winning by two scores in a high-scoring affair. Every single expert from Yahoo! and CBS is picking the Saints to win. It looks like the Lions are being disrespected on the surface, but that's not the case at all. The Saints are just this good.
