The Pittsburgh Steelers received some bad news this morning. Running backs coach Kirby Wilson is in the hospital after being moderately-to-severaly burned in a house fire early Friday morning. WPXI in Pittsburgh is reporting that Wilson was flown to a Pittsburgh area hospital from his home in Seven Fields in Butler County, though the status of his condition is not known at this time.

“First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with Kirby and his entire family,” Steelers President Art Rooney said in a statement to WPXI. “We are saddened to hear about this unfortunate situation but we know that he has the best medical care in the country treating him. The entire organization is praying for Kirby to have a full recovery and we will be by his side through this difficult time.”

The fire reportedly started around 2:45 a.m. CT, when a neighbor told WPXI he was a awoken by police officers pounding on doors to awaken residences to get them to clear out of the building. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
