NFL Playoffs Predictions: Saints Over Lions, According To Most Experts

The New Orleans Saints will host the Detroit Lions at the Superdome on Saturday night for the NFC Wild Card game and they're expected by nearly everyone to win the game. The Saints are nearly unstoppable at home which is why the majority of picks are on the Saints.

We asked our Saints blog, Canal Street Chronicles, why the Saints will win the game, and also why they’ll lose:

Why the Saints will win: The Saints are the hottest team in the league right now, winning their last eight straight games. They're also a perfect 8-0 this season at home in the Dome. With Drew Brees playing like a man on fire and the defense starting to hit their stride, the Detroit Lions will have an incredibly difficult time trying to take down the Saints on their own turf in primtetime.

Why the Saints will lose: I really think the only way any opponent can take down the Saints is to absolutely dominate on defense at the line of scrimmage and to beat the ever-loving crap out of Drew Brees. Early, often and until the end.
