There's a lot of weird things happening in this gif, and many are a result of interesting decisions by the officials. Late in the second quarter, Drew Brees found Marques Colston in the end zone on a play the officials initially deemed a touchdown. However, it's clear as day to anyone watching that Colston didn't actually come down with the ball, despite his best efforts, and the pass should've been incomplete.

In addition to the odd completed pass call, there was a flag on the play and the defender was called for a personal foul. See if you can figure out why:
That grazing blow to the head that momentarily blocked Colston's vision but did little else? Yep, that's a personal foul. Hits to the head are one thing -- especially helmet-to-helmet ones -- but this seems a little overzealous. In the end, though, it didn't end up mattering a ton as the Saints had to settle for a field goal. But it's the principle that counts!
