Texans Vs. Ravens 2012: Big Plays Were Crucial For Baltimore In Week 6 Win

While the Baltimore Ravens beat the Houston Texans 29-14 in Week 6 of the regular season, the game was much closer than what the final score would indicate.

After Houston got a 14-13 lead midway through the third quarter on a 36-yard TD pass from Matt Schaub to Jacoby Jones, Baltimore's offense took control, setting up two consecutive field goals with 50+ yard passing plays to Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin.

Of Joe Flacco's 305 yards passing in the game, over a third (107) came on those two third-quarter bombs.

Now, in a rematch of two of the NFL’s top-rated defenses, with the Texans ranking 4rth in the league in rush yardage allowed and 3rd in pass yardage allowed and the Ravens ranking 2nd in rush yardage allowed and 4rth in pass yardage allowed, big plays in the passing game might once again be crucial.

And while Houston will be without Schaub, they will have All-Pro WR Andre Johnson, who missed the first game with a hamstring injury.

In their 31-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round, Johnson caught a 40-yard TD pass from T.J. Yates after beating Pacman Jones on a double move.
