Mark Anderson injury: Bills DE out indefinitely

Bills defensive end Mark Anderson is out indefinitely after requiring surgery on his knee.

Buffalo Bills defensive end Mark Anderson will be out indefinitely after requiring surgery on his knee but is not necessarily out for the season, according to Joe Buscaglia of WGR550.

Anderson has 12 tackles and one sack through five games for the Bills this season.

Anderson spent his first five seasons in the league with the Chicago Bears before playing for three different teams -- Houston Texas, New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills -- in the last three years. For his career, Anderson has 36.5 sacks and 175 tackles in 98 games.

Buffalo's defense has given up 97 points in the the last two weeks to the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots. The Bills' defense ranks second to last in the league, giving up a 449.4 yards and 35.2 points a game.

The Bills will travel to Arizona this Sunday to take on the NFC West leading Cardinals.
