Nate Kaeding still not ready to kick for fantasy owners

Nate Kaeding will probably miss his third straight game this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

San Diego Chargerrs K Nate Kaeding (groin) remains day-to-day, but it sounds like he'll miss another game, according to Michael Gehlken of the Sporting News. Kaeding missed the past two games with a lingering groin issue, and while he insists that he will kick again sometime this season, it doesn't sound like it will happen any time soon. Kaeding was 7-for-7 on field goals this year before the injury.

Fantasy Impact: With Kaeding out of the picture, the Chargers will turn to Nick Novak for at least one more week. Novak is 4-for-5 for field goals on the season, but missed a 55-yarder. The kicker position is not worth stressing about (unless you drafted Billy Cundiff) so keep starting Novak for the time being.
