Chiefs vs. Buccaneers, Week 6: Tampa Bay rolls in ‘complete victory’

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to notch their second victory on the season and their second home win after the team completed their blow out victory over the visiting Kansas City Chiefs, by the score of 38-10.

Evident by the Chiefs 10 points on the day, the Tampa Bay defense was only responsible in allowing three of those points. No. 7 overall draft pick Mark Barron intercepted his first career pass while veteran Ronde Barber was able to turn back the clock and take an interception back for a touchdown.

The offense looked good, too, scoring three touchdowns through the air and one on the ground, while getting everyone involved in the fun.

It’s been a tough go for Tampa Bay recently. After winning the season opener, the team lost three close games, two on the road. But as Sander Philipse of Bucs Nation notes, this was a complete victory for Tampa Bay, who looked fantastic today.

This was a complete victory: run defense was stifling, pass defense produced turnovers, the passing offense produced big play after play and the running game closed out the game. The Bucs looked dominant today, although the Kansas City Chiefs did not put up much of a fight.

Tampa Bay will now prepare to host the visiting New Orleans Saints, who are coming into town off of a bye week and looking to gain ground in the NFC South standings.
