According to the Associated Press, Beyonce, a winner of 16 Grammy Awards will headline the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII. The 31-year-old, who’s hit songs include “Irreplaceable,” “Crazy in Love” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston back in 2004. Beyonce could collaborate during the show with her husband Jay-Z as well as former Destiny’s Child band members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Last year’s halftime show, starring Madonna, was seen by 114 million people. During the show, Madonna collaborated with performers such as Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO and M.I.A. The original news of Madonna performing at the Super Bowl last year was broken by SB Nation.
Super Bowl XLVII will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. on Feb. 3, 2013. It'll be the first Super Bowl held at the stadium since Hurricane Katrina. The last Super Bowl held at the Superdome was Super Bowl XXXVI on Feb. 3, 2002 when the New England Patriots upset the St. Louis Rams, 20-17.
