The Super Bowl Advisory Committee is expected to select New Orleans and Miami as finalists to host Super Bowl L in 2016, according to Jarrett Bell of the USA Today.

New Orleans will also host this year’s Super Bowl and Miami last hosted the game in 2010. Including this season, New Orleans and Miami have combined to host 20 Super Bowls, 10 each, including three since 2002.
The greater Los Angeles area ranks third as they have hosted seven Super Bowls with the last one being in 1993.
After establishing New Orleans and Miami as finalists, Super Bowl L will be awarded to one of these cities at an upcoming meeting in 2013.
The Advisory Committee is also in the early stages of selecting a venue for Super Bowl LI in 2017. Early projections suggest that Houston and Santa Clara, Calif. are front runners as the San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to open a new $1.2 billion stadium in 2014.
