AFC East injury report: Bills guard Chad Rinehart out indefinitely

The Bills suffered another injury on their offensive line Sunday, as backup guard Chad Rinehart is out indefinitely with a leg injury.

Kevin Hoffman-US PRESSWIRE

The Buffalo Bills injury woes on their offensive line got worse Monday when head coach Chan Gailey announced guard Chad Rinehart will be out indefinitely with a right leg injury. Rinehart suffered the injury in Buffalo's 35-34 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

The five-year veteran was serving as the backup to already injured right guard Kraig Urbik, who's also recovering from a leg injury. Luckily for the Bills, both Urbik and starting left tackle Cordy Glenn could return after the Bills' bye week and play at the Houston Texans on Nov. 4.

The New England Patriots are another AFC East team that may need to wait until their bye week (Week 9) to get completely healthy. Currently, guard Logan Mankins is questionable for Week 8's showdown with the St. Louis Rams at Wembley Stadium in London.

Mankins and veteran safeties Patrick Chung (shoulder) and Steve Gregory (hip) were all inactive in Week 7's victory, 29-26, over the New York Jets. Its still unclear if they will play on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Jets played Sunday without defensive tackle Sione Po'uha for the third straight week. The eight-year veteran is still having issues with his back. He has not played since Sept. 30 against the visiting San Francisco 49ers, and it's still unclear if he will play against the Dolphins in Week 8.

Miami remains fairly healthy entering Week 8, as running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) and cornerback Richard Marshall (back) remain questionable for Sunday's matchup versus the Jets.
