The New York Giants looked like they'd have an easy blowout win, but ended up beating the Dallas Cowboys by the tips of Dez Bryant's fingers.

Dez Bryant’s almost-catch looked like it would finish off a furious comeback by the Dallas Cowboys, but the New York Giants held on for a win after leading 23-0.

New York jumped out to a 23-0 lead as Tony Romo threw a slew of interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown by Jason Pierre-Paul. But the Cowboys stormed back, including what appeared to be a miraculous game-winning snag by Bryant on a lob to the end zone. But just a sliver of Bryant's hand was over the line out of bounds, and New York held on for the win. Ed Valentine of Giants blog Big Blue View reacted to the catch in his postgame recap:
The New York Giants are now 4-0 in Cowboys Stadium, but only by a matter of inches. Dez Bryant’s fingertips being just inches -- maybe only an inch -- out of bounds on a potential 37-yard game winning touchdown were all that separated the Giants from turning what looked like a rousing victory into a demoralizing loss.
The late comeback was not a good sign for the Giants’ defense, but it was still a great performance against a flustered Romo:
The Giants' real heroes were on the defensive side of the ball.
(Stevie) Brown, who has been subbing for an injured Kenny Phillips at safety, was the biggest star of all. He had two interceptions, a fumble recovery and six tackles. Jason Pierre-Paul had four tackles, a sack and returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter, giving the Giants what seemed like an insurmountable 23-0 lead.
Although the game was more nerve-wracking than it seemed it should have been, Giants fans were pleased to escape with a divisional win after falling to the Cowboys in the season opener. New York now sits at 6-2, the only team above .500 in the NFC East.
