Jets injury report: Dustin Keller, Stephen Hill out vs. Texans

It’s looking like the New York Jets will be without TE Dustin Keller and WR Stephen Hill for Monday Night Football this week.

The New York Jets will be without two of Mark Sanchez's favorite toys for Monday night's game against the Houston Texans as TE Dustin Keller and WR Stephen Hill are not expected to play, according ESPN New York's Rich Cimini.

Both of the pass catchers are suffering from hamstring injuries and were listed as doubtful on Saturday’s injury report.

With New York's go-to wide receiver Santonio Holmes already done for the year with a Lisfranc injury, the Jets will now be fielding Chaz Schilens, Jeremy Kerley and Clyde Gates as their uninspiring starting wide receivers. This trio of relatively inexperienced wide receivers will be going up against a Texans' defense that ranks first in the NFL in yards allowed per game (273).

Keller’s absence is also particularly concerning considering he’s Sanchez’s favorite safety valve and Houston already has 13 sacks on the season.

Jeff Cumberland will be taking Keller's place in the starting lineup. He has 11 receptions for 88 yards in 2012.

Fullback John Conner (hamstring) and nose tackle Sione Pouha (back) are expected to sit for the Jets as well.
