Hill played in all five games this season, posting 11 tackles with a pass deflection and a forced fumble. His suspension will hurt the Giants' depth at free safety behind starter Antrel Rolle. Hill, who played college football at the University of Florida, signed with the Giants in May.
He went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft and spent time with the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League before signing with the Giants. He was coming off what was arguably his best performance of the season, as he finished with four tackles and a forced fumble against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Hill's suspension will begin immediately, He will miss the next four games and be eligible to return to New York's active roster on November 5. The Giants filled his spot on the 53-man roster by activating Tyler Sash, who was suspended for the first four games of the season.
