Week 9 NFL odds: Bears vs. Titans

The Chicago Bears are the favorites in their Week 9 contest with the Tennessee Titans, who have a losing record both straight up and against the spread.

Grant Halverson

The 6-1 Chicago Bears visit the 3-5 Tennessee Titans in Week 9, and the latest odds for the contest have the Bears favored by 3.5 points.

The total for the game is 43.5 points, a mark the Bears have hit in four of their games. The Titans have totaled at least 44 points in all but two of their games this season. The Bears are averaging 26.4 points scored per game, while the Titans are putting up an average of 20.3 points. The Titans defense may allow the Bears offense some big opportunities. They’re giving up an average of 421 yards per game (30th in the league) and 32.1 points per game (31st.)

Chicago is 4-2-1 against the spread, but 2-1 on the road. Tennessee is 3-5 against the spread this season, including a 2-2 ATS record at home. Their troubles against the spread date back to last season; they’re 3-9 against the spread in their last 12 games.
