A.J. Green wasted no time scoring on Sunday, and the Giants wasted no time parting the seas for an easy touchdown. Less than three minutes into the Bengals game against the Giants, Green broke past Corey Webster for a 56-yard touchdown catch and he did it without a defender within 15 yards of him. Why should you cover Green anyway?
Bengals vs Giants: A.J. Green catches TD in 8th straight game, closes on record
The Cincinnati star wasted no time in extending his streak.
He’s only scored in almost every game this season.
Week 1 against the Ravens was the last time Green was held out of the end zone, and today was his ninth touchdown in the last eight games. It's already the best such streak in Bengals history, but he's now getting closer to the all-time NFL record as well. Jerry Rice caught a touchdown in all 12 games that he played in during the 1987 season, a streak that ended up stretching over 13 contests.
Green will try to extend the streak to nine games against the Chiefs in Week 11, but there's still plenty of time for the Giants to keep not-covering him on Sunday.
