Jets vs. Seahawks: The CBS graphics guys need some help

The guys in the truck for CBS must have thought of this graphic well in advance, which makes their helplessness even more sad.

The graphics that are thrown up in-game can be impressive in their detail and the way they can come together quickly. However, when the graphic is just about two players’ heights, you have the feeling the it was prepared well in advance and the team just waited for the perfect time to show it. If that’s the case, then, come on, CBS. Seriously?

Let’s break this down. The most glaring issue is the math, because two guys who stand 6’3 and 6’4, respectively, don’t have a combined height of 75.5 inches. That is, in fact, the average of their height. A simple once-over would do the trick.

Second, what is that title? Pacific Heights? It's just the ocean and their physical trait thrown together. I mean, as far as I know that's not a reference to anything or a pun of some nature. Just seems stupid. Plus, the Seahawks' defensive backfield already has a sweet nickname: the Legion of Boom. No need to try and invent new ones.

Third, what are those drop shadows? What is this, 1998-era photoshop? Did you just use the graphic editor straight from Microsoft Word? I know we shouldn’t by now, but we expect better, CBS.
