AFC East injury report, Week 10: Logan Mankins, Dan Connolly knocked out of Sunday’s game

Two starters on New England’s offensive line were forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

The New England Patriots scraped by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, but not without injuries that could complicate matters moving forward. The Patriots lost both of their starting offensive guards in the 37-31 victory to injuries, though the severity of the injuries are still unknown. The first injury afflicted Dan Connolly, who didn't return to the field after halftime because of an injured back. Then, in the third quarter, Logan Mankins left the game with an ankle injury after being rolled up on. Mankins was seen after the game in a walking boot, but more concrete information on both players should be revealed later in the week.

The Bills also didn't escape the game unscathed. Running back Fred Jackson was knocked out of the game in the fourth quarter after a big hit, and on Monday, head coach Chan Gailey said that Jackson is suffering from "concussion-like symptoms." Jackson's status for Week 11 is still unknown, but Buffalo is on a short week with a game against the Miami Dolphins coming up on Thursday night.

Elsewhere on the concussion front, New York Jets running back Bilal Powell suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of team's 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. His status has not yet been updated.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, were steamrolled by the Tennessee Titans, 37-3, but at least didn't suffer any notable injuries.
