NFL picks, Week 11: Bears vs. 49ers
The uncertain status of Jay Cutler for the Bears’ Monday night contest against the 49ers has analysts leaning toward San Francisco in their Week 11 picks.
The 49ers are coming off of a rare tie, finishing their Week 10 game against the St. Louis Rams, 24-24. The Bears were kept at bay by the Houston Texans on Sunday night, falling 13-6 to the league's top team. The status of both teams' starting quarterbacks is up in the air, although San Francisco's Alex Smith returned to practice on Wednesday, while Jay Cutler is still being held back.
Cutler’s uncertainty appears to have influenced the picks from experts around the web, as all but one of ESPN’s analysts have picked the 49ers to win, with Bears legend Mike Ditka the lone expert taking Chicago. Yahoo! Sports follows a similar model, with all three of its writers jumping on the 49ers’ bandwagon.
CBS Sports’ picks are a little more even, as five writers believe San Francisco will win, while four are going with the Bears.
