Chargers at Broncos is Week 11’s top ticket

The rematch of Peyton Manning and Phillip Rivers excited the interest of the secondary market, according to TiqIQ’s research.

At least three NFL starting quarterbacks will be out with injuries for Week 11. The absence of Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger and Michael Vick is bound to impact ticket prices for those games, but not dramatically so. Two of those teams are among this week's most expensive ticket deals in the NFL.

Check out the five highest-priced tickets for Week 11, courtesy of TiqIQ.

1. Chargers @ Broncos Avg: $386 | Get-in: $112 | Weekly Trend: -9%

The last time the Chargers and Broncos played, Philip Rivers blew a 24-0 halftime lead for an embarrassing loss. San Diego is trying to close the gap in the AFC West and exact some revenge this week, making this game the hottest ticket in the league. Tickets for this one are the priciest yet for a Denver home game, and the most fans are paying to see the Chargers on the road.

Tickets for this week's Chargers vs. Broncos matcup are 150 percent more expensive than last year, and 274 percent more expensive than 2010. At an average price of $386 per seat, tickets for this one are selling for 39% more than the average price of Broncos tickets this season. No wonder the Broncos were so eager to sign Peyton Manning.

2. Bears @ 49ers Avg: $304 | Get-in: $127 | Weekly Trend: -13%

Jay Cutler is out. Alex Smith looks likely to play, but this game is more about Frank Gore versus Matt Forte and the defense for both teams. With an average price of $304 per seat, this is the most expensive 49ers home game all season, so far.

San Francisco has the edge at home, and the results could change the standings in the NFC playoff race.

3. Colts @ Patriots Avg: $281 | Get-in: $119 | Weekly Trend: -34%

Andrew Luck versus Tom Brady, round one, could be the week's best game and most historically significant. Both teams are 6-3, and have more in common than most may realize. This game is well worth the $281 average ticket price, and it's only logical that this is Indy's most expensive road contest. It's still a good deal for fans heading to Foxborough as the second-least expensive game at the stadium this year, 12 percent below the average price for Patriots tickets.

4. Ravens @ Steelers Avg: $276 | Get-in: $120 | Weekly Trend: -23%

Even without Ben Roethlisberger, this is still Pittsburgh’s third most expensive home game and Baltimore’s second most expensive road game.

Hometown fans can still get a bit of a deal this week, with ticket prices for this rivalry down 26 percent from last year and 14 percent from 2010. The $276 average price tag is still 24 percent above the norm for Steelers tickets this season.

5. Jaguars @ Texans Avg: $188 | Get-in: $74 | Weekly Trend: -17%

How do the Jaguars come in as our fifth most expensive NFL game for week 11? That’s because the Jags are in Houston for a game against the 8-1 Texans. For football crazed Texans fans, this week is a good chance to get a great deal on tickets with the second cheapest ticket prices of the season.

Prices for this contest are currently 38 percent below the Texans home average. However, a likely one-sided division battle still ranks among the league’s top 5 priciest games, with NFL tickets dipping a bit across the board in Week 11.
