Falcons overcome Matt Ryan’s 5 interceptions to beat Cardinals

The day has not gone well for Atlanta as quarterback Matt Ryan has struggled with four interceptions. Ryan’s most recent interception resulted in a field goal for visiting Arizona, who now hold a 19-16 fourth-quarter lead on the Falcons.

Entering the 4th quarter, it’s a 16-16 game.

Fantasy Analysis: While Roddy White is having a solid day for fantasy owners, he is not having the day he could be having. His quarterback, Matt Ryan, has thrown four interceptions and zero touchdowns in this contest. Atlanta is struggling mightily, and the formerly undefeated team is in danger to possibly lose their second consecutive game.

It didn’t take long for Lindley to find out that the Arizona offensive line is a major part of their offensive woes and a subsequent sack and fumble quickly led to the Cardinals’ lead shrinking to 13-10. Babineaux was the player that scooped the fumble and scored, but then it didn’t take him very long to remember that he can’t dunk.

I think most men in America can relate to the moment where you break free for a wide open dunk and then realize that you’ve never dunked before and, well, what were you thinking? Just take the two points and leave the posterizing to Michael Jordan.

Lindley, a four-year starter at San Diego State, was a sixth-round pick in this year’s draft and has yet to take a regular-season snap for Arizona. Now all he has to do is hold a lead against the team with the best record in the NFC. No pressure, kid.

Seriously, your team has lost five straight games, you can’t do much worse than Skelton.

Last season, Turner ran for 1,340 yards and 4.5 yards per carry. It also doesn’t help that Turner turned 30 this year, a common age to see backs begin to wear down after years of physical abuse on the football field.

If Jones plays, he is expected to be limited. Jones did not practice at all with the team this week and is officially listed as questionable for the game. Falcons head coach Mike Smith said that Jones will be a game-time decision.

Arizona (4-5) has lost five consecutive games after a perfect 4-0 start and are 9.5-point underdogs against Atlanta. The Cardinals have had trouble putting points on the board all season, especially in their last games. They have mustered just 10.6 points per game during their five-game losing streak.

The Cardinals are coming off of a bye week, but that isn’t easing most people’s concerns about a possible win. Yahoo! Sports columnists and the voting public both picked the Falcons to prevail. CBS Sports also unanimously agreed that the Falcons would prevail and head to 9-1.

ESPN hasn’t posted its Week 11 picks yet, but it looks like a safe gamble that most pundits will pick the Falcons to send the Cardinals to their sixth straight loss on the season.
