A big defensive play by the New York Jets put them back in this ball game when it looked like the St. Louis Rams might run away with it.
Jets vs. Rams: The momentum shifting defensive play by Wilkerson, B. Scott
At just the right time, defensive lineman Muhammed Wilkerson broke through and stripped quarterback Sam Bradford. The ball was recovered by linebacker Bart Scott, which set up the New York Jets’ go-ahead lead.

Jets defensive lineman Muhammed Wilkerson busted through the Rams' offensive line and perfectly timed a strip-sack of Sam Bradford. The ball bounced around, and eventually right into the hands of Jets linebacker Bart Scott. At first, it looked like Scott might take it all the way.
But the veteran linebacker was eventually caught. This defensive play shifted the momentum of the game because following it, Mark Sanchez delivered a touchdown strike to wide receiver Chaz Schillens.
